The Digital Detox Course (self-paced online)

The workbook, taught. At your own pace, in your own evenings.

The Digital Detox Course is the complete self-paced version of Digital Detox: The Workbook, taught on video by the author. Twelve modules, every worksheet walked through, a self-hypnosis audio recorded for you, and the 21-day detox plan built to your own screener score.

£197, lifetime access, hardcover workbook included and posted to you.

Some people read a workbook and work it. Most people read a workbook and mean to. The difference is rarely motivation. It is having someone walk you through each exercise at the moment you are actually doing it, answering the question you would have asked if the page could talk.

That is what this course is. I have taken the workbook I wrote, the one built on thirty years in NHS addiction services, Harley Street and the Priory, and taught it module by module on video, the way I would teach it to you across a desk. You watch a short lesson, you fill in the worksheet while it is fresh, you move on when you are ready. There is no cohort to keep up with and no live call to miss. The course waits for you, which is more than your phone has ever done.

What you get

Twelve modules on video, matching the workbook chapter by chapter. Short lessons, most under fifteen minutes, because a course about reclaiming your attention has no business wasting it.

Every one of the eighteen worksheets, walked through. For each exercise: what it is for, a worked example of a filled-in answer, and the mistake most people make on it. Printable versions of every worksheet are included as downloads.

Your self-hypnosis audio. Module 3 includes a professionally recorded version of the workbook's self-hypnosis script, so you can use it daily rather than reading it to yourself.

The screener, three times. You measure the pattern at the start, at the midpoint and at the end of your 21-day detox. The course finishes the way the workbook does, with three numbers side by side instead of a feeling that it probably helped.

The 21-day detox plan, built to your score. Module 11 takes your screener band and turns it into a daily plan with the tracker, from a single tested boundary up to the full structured programme. Not a blanket blackout. Blackouts are the version of a detox most likely to fail, and the research says so.

The hardcover workbook, posted to you. The course teaches it; the book is where you write. Pen on paper, as designed.

Lifetime access. Detoxes decay. When the pattern creeps back in eighteen months, the course is still there, and so is your original screener score to compare against.

The course, module by module

Phase one: The Map (Modules 1 to 4). Name the real behaviour and measure it honestly. Find the anchor underneath the urge and reset it with the Elixir Method. Build your new path, including your recorded self-hypnosis track. Run the Five-Area Conflict Audit on the part of you that does not want to change.

Phase two: The Deeper Current (Modules 5 to 8). Sleep, movement, posture and eye strain, the body's side of the pattern. The Mirror Method and the Decisional Balance for ambivalence. Thought records and the Reframe Method for the thought that arrives just before you unlock the screen. A midpoint screener to check the direction of travel.

Phase three: The Great Work (Modules 9 to 12). The Alchemist's Cabinet: ten techniques from ten of the most respected books on addiction, and how to choose yours. The Twelve Gates and the spiritual material, for those who want them. Then the 21-day detox itself, tracked daily, finished with your third screener score and a written plan for what comes after.
